Learning assessments can get your child the help they need at school. Our assessments don’t just put a label on your child, we seek to understand what they can do and why they might be struggling in the classroom.

Assessment process
Our assessments are comprehensive in nature so you walk away truly understanding your child’s strengths and challenges. We take pride in not just doing a tick and flick then sending you away with a label that doesn’t tell you how to best support your child.
Assessments typically require 10-12 hours of clinical time and are charged at our standard hourly rate. A quote will be provided at your first appointment.

A one on one with you, as the parent or carer, to understand your child as a whole including strengths, interests and talents that extend beyond the school environmnet.

A suite of performance tests conducted with your child that tell us what your child is capable of and what may be holding them back from fully realising their potential. Rather than just looking at overall reading or writing performance, we will look to assess the specific skills that need to be developed more explicitly.

A comprehensive written report that summarises what we did, what it tells us about your child’s strengths and challenges and a set of recommendations that can guide you at home and in school.

A final feedback session to walk you through the results and ensure you understand what it means for your child’s development.
